  1. This is such a great blog post. The Memphis and Shelby County Food Policy Council Working Group has been trying to secure land for community gardens as well through the Unified Development Code. Also one of their policy suggestions was to allow for farmers markets to be in the same zone as convenient stores or corner stores. There are many obvious reasons for why this policy change, but the strongest supporting tangible evidence was the Community Food Assessment.
